The Princess Bride

This project uses the Pit of Despair as the theme for the title sequence of the movie The Princess Bride. It combines rough, and sometimes comical, illustrations with a more serious theme to represent the movie, which is part comedy and part serious.

The title sequence starts in a beautiful field of buttercup flowers leading to the Pit of Despair, then out to the buttercup field at the end. The idea is mimic the storyline of the movie, which starts out with love blooming between Buttercup and Westley, followed by a tragedy, and ending happily.
