Film Festival

John Hughes

The John Hughes Film Festival is an annual festival designed to celebrate classic films by a famous and talented director.

The series of promotional items for this inaugural film festival includes a poster, postcard, tickets, t-shirt, and a schedule. The "Relive the Adventures" theme revolves around the idea that every John Hughes film can be seen as an adventure, and now we invite John Hughes fans to relive these adventures at the festival.

The colors are a mix of bright, neon colors from the 1980s and a more muted, sophisticated palette. Its main purpose is to draw the teenage crowds from the 1980s, who are now of an older generation, and also younger viewers who might be children of previous John Hughes fans.

Envision

Powers of Ten

The purpose of this project is to create a series of promotional items for the relaunch of the Envision annual design conference, based in Sacramento and held by ADAC.

This conference will focus on aiding students and new designers in connecting with creative professionals across the country and get more exposure in the creative field. Its theme of discovery is about how the conference will act as a catalyst between all the creative professionals and students. Students can come to the conference to be inspired by new ideas and professionals can come to be inspired and discover new designers.

Brothers Grimm's Fairy Tale

The Old Grandfather's Corner

This poster is for the Brothers Grimm's story The Old Grandfather's Corner. The whole story fits on an 11"x17" poster so that the story can be read at arm's length.

The old, dying tree represents the old grandfather and the sadness he feels. The color palette is similar to old, stained paper. The brighter lighting coming from the right and shining on the tree is a representation of the happier ending at the end.
